This is typical if the user has a FTP server running on the same computer or if a firewall is setup to block port 21. Loading / saving jobs in In-Sight explorer is done over FTP.
An easy way to verify if a FTP server is running would be to execute “netstat –abno” in a command prompt. It will list all active connections to different ports as well as the process in charge of the connection.
If any other process than In-Sight.exe is using port 21, you will run into this issue. To solve it you may simply uninstall or stop the process that blocks the port.
In In-Sight explorer you have also the option to change the Explorer FTP port under Settings → Options.
You may then also want to change the FTP port on the In-Sight system. In In-Sight explorer you may access it under the Settings → FTP Settings menu.
Hello, i have exactly the same problem on many lines. It’s a random problem : sometimes we can load / save jobs, and sometimes it doesn’t work.
I don’t have any other application using the 21 port, and my firewall is fully open.
I think the problem comes from ftp connection like you said. Perhaps the port stay open and does not close…
On the sensor ftp settings, there are 3 parameters : iddle tiemout (120), read timeout (120) and connection retry (1) : maybe i have to change one or more of these parameters ?
