Keep Product Low [PickMaster 5]

Pallet pattern has four drums on it. The first drum moves from infeeder to outfeeder at a very reasonable height. Drums 2-4 move very high, as if they are going over drum 1. The robot is not passing through or over drum 1 to place drums 2-4.

We have tried to change the work area order settings, as well as set the Default Height to Empty.

We can get this to work with Max Z, however, when we do taller products, the max Z causes us to colide when working on higher layers.

Is there an easy way to keep the robot from raising up so high?

Thanks!

Hello John,

try to set a negative “item offset” in the layer table of the pallet pattern operation set dialogue. This may reduce the approach height below the height of the current layer when moving in for a new place. You just have to make sure to place the items in a safe order to avoid collisions with already placed ones.
