1: When you install robotstudio, what is the use of “Robotware standalone controller” in the optionnal components?

2: Would it be possible to include your OPC Server software in that Optional component menu for your next release of RobotStudio? I always have to get that on a different CD and contact ABB to get it. Since they don’t charge me for it I assume it’s free like RobotStudio Online.

Hi Jet,

The standalone controller option is used if you control a “non standard ABB robot” with the IRC5 controller, for example a gantry.

Include the OPC Server to the RobotStudio installation I think is a good idea, I will discuss this with my colleagues for future releases of RS.
