I am a new user trying to learn Robot Studio and Screenmaker. I created a station in studio then opened screenmaker and then created an application and added a controller mode status and a rapid execution status to the screenmaker page. I then went to build, connect and deploy all of which say sucessful. When I go offline and select virtual flex pendant it starts with an error.
Error loading TpsViewer.dll
Additional info:
System.Reflection.Reflection.TypeLoadException: Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrive loader exceptions for more information at system.reflection.module.
Can you tell me where to retrive this error as it indicates, what it means and where to find screenmaker errors. Additional info my Robot Studio install requalarly locks up and can only be closed with Task manager.
It is robot studio 5.13 and the included screenmaker and Robotware (I do not see where to click to confirm version for Robotware and screenmaker). The OS is XP pro.
When I select deploy a message box appears and says that the flexpendant interface controller option is required to view the application on the flexpendant. I do not know where to go to add this. We purchased the robot studio software licence with the screenmaker option.
RobotStudio Offline can be used to create, program and simulate robot cells and stations.
For online programming, RobotStudio helps to supervise, install, configure and program a real robot controller.
Applications created from ScreenMaker can be deployed on to Virtual Controller(Offline) as well as Real controller(Online).
Inorder to connect and deploy to a controller, a system needs to be created. Create the system using System Builder.
If you want the application to work only on Virtual Controller, create a system using virtual robotware key and then select PC Interface and FlexPendant Interface as options.
If you want the application to work on Real controller than a system should be built with real robotware keys which should have the FlexPendant Interface option.
You can contact ABB Sales for information on getting this option as part of the key.
I appreciate your help. It would be great if that information was in the screenmaker documentation for new people to screenmaker and robotstudio like myself. If any ABB manual writers or support engineers read this post please consider it.
ScreenMaker requires .NET Compact Framework 2.0 SP1 to be installed.
Do the following checks just to be sure before re-installation:
Check from Add/Remove Programs dialog if .NET Compact Framework 2.0 SP1 is installed.
If you are familiar with registries , Check the following Registry Entry from Registry Editor HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoft.NETCompactFrameworkv2.0.0.0InstallRoot
If not seen in Add/Remove programs and registry entry is not valid
