seeking help about voltage signal input

i am now working with ABB IRC 4450s. i have a sensor which has 3 voltage signal output. i want to input signals into robot system and let robot know the voltage value of signals. what can i do? Thank you.

Hi.

You need an analog input board on the robots devicenet. You can use ABB or other products. Are the signal voltage or miliambre_

I have good experience with beckhoof. They are not as expensive as ABB and is working very well.

Hi Klaus,

The signal is voltage, 21v for instance.
I know that there is an unit called DSQC 355A for analog I/O. If the signal is 21v, how can i let robot controller know the value of “21” using DSQC 355A? How to use this unit?
On the unit of DSQC 355A, there is an “X8” pin for analog input. the description in manual is // analog input 1, -10v/+10v//, does it mean it can receive and read the value of voltage ranging from -10v to +10v continuouslly?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Steven.

To use over 10 volt input you need to find another board than ABB. It’s easy to use other products as long they can bee connected to the device net that is standard on the IRC 5.
lok at http://www.beckhoff.com/ or contact your local dealer og beckhoff

Hi Klaus,

I have read the information in website of beckhoff. Can you give me a specific example about using devicenet and product of beckhoff to deal with analog input, what kind of device is needed and how to connect them for instance? I have never used this kind of products before.

Thanks a lot.

Hi steven.

Send me an email at kls@proinvent.dk and i can give you a EIO.cfg with settings ogf beckhoff AO
