We are curently looking to upgrade an old pickmaster picking line with 2 analog camera’s and 3 IRB340 (S4C+) and I have some questions:
1/ We want to install 4 camera’s on the line but can we use 2 Gigabit ethernet board instead of using 1 ethernet board and 1 switch?
2/ We want also to use userhook application, are there any limitation about visual studio version and PM 3.23? We have in house visual studio 2010 but in the PM manual they suggest visual studio 2005.
3/ We want to use 2 camera’s for Post inspection, this inspection is looking for a product presence in the blister, My first idea was to use multitasking do to this control but is not beter to make a userhook application?
2: VS2010 works fine, at least if you build towards .NET 2.0 but maybe even newer versions
3: If you are looking for product presence, you can send the found target to a workarea and then use the Position Available to signal that the inspection found the product. It is working really well when you send the item to a conveyor work area. The signal will then stay high while the product is within the Enter and Exit limit, and automatically removed from the queue when passing the Exit limit.
Please note:
S4C+ is only supported up to 3.23.
Depending on which analog system you have, there might be some limitation when upgrading
When going up to 3.23, you will need a new kind of license.
