having problem on cold boot

We got this cell for a job that got cancelled right before we could use it. It has been off for 4 years.

1} Replaced batteries.

  1. Did a cold start machine ran through the checks fine.

  2. loaded the key disk and then it ask for disk 1

  3. installed disk 1, press a key , green light came on and within 5 to 10 seconds " Teach pendant communication lost error"

green light on disk drive stays green. left for 30min and nothing changed

  1. replaced board DSQC-373, DSQC-361

  2. same results

we are using a usb floppy emulator for the disk drive

any help would be apricated .

Checking the simply things first - you did change to the correct disk on the floppy emulator (they normally create many disks on the USB which you can select)?

Try copying the disk one file to the USB again in case it is corrupted.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for the delay. We did get it to boot. Somebody put backup files on the key disks, I delete those 3 files and it booted right up. Finally went to jog the robot hit the enable button and sounded like a 22 went of in the cabinet. Got a new drive coming in.
