I am trying to install our first PickMaster site and have come across a few problems.
Setup:
PickMaster 2.30
Camera: Sony XC-HR50 bought from Cognex incl. their original camera cable
Frame grabber: Cognex MVS-8504
My immediate problem is that I can’t get the camera to function properly. When using the default switch positions (all OFF and external trigger) the view was divided by a black horzisontal line with two identical images on both sides. The horizontal line moves when aquiring separate images which makes me think there is a trigger problem.
I then saw that the Cognex manual that comes PickMaster CD, states that the switches should be configured differently: Switch 7 & 8 should ON and the camera should be set to external trigger. This setting however doesn’t generate any image at all. It’s all black. No trigger signal? Shouldn’t this signal be generated from PickMaster?
I managed to get a proper looking image with switch 6, 7,8 set to ON. Both internal and external trigger gives the same result. This still however causes me problems. As I said the view is looking good when clicking the Live button but in calibration mode, when clicking Acquire the resulting image is blurred (almost completely white) and the calibration fails.
What are the correct settings? Below is a screen dump of the view when clicking “Live”.
